Covid-19: experiences of people with a mild intellectual disability

The COVID-19 restrictions, such as the closure of day programs and visitor bans, had a major impact on people with mild intellectual disabilities.

The AWVB interviewed six individuals about their experiences during the “intelligent lockdown.” The study identified three main themes: missing social contact, maintaining structure, and uncertainty about the rules. The findings are summarized in this factsheet.
